Carry Me Baby Carrier Lending Service
I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Carry Me, a baby carrier lending service. I was given the opportunity to try out several carriers for my babywearing series and to experience what renting a carrier from their lending service was like for a 3 month period.
I’ve posted reviews of some of the carriers I was able to test out and will continue to post more as the series continues. I was sent over a Maya Wrap, Scootababy Hip Carrier, BabyHawk Oh Snap!, Beco Gemini, Colimacon et Cie woven wrap, Freehand Mei Tai, and a Catbird Baby Pikkolo.
Available to rent are several styles of carrier: Soft Structured Carriers, Ring Slings, Woven Wraps, Wrap Conversions and Mei Tais.
Jasmine at Carry Me provided me with instructions and tips for each carrier and was available to answer all the other questions I had as well. She also made sure that I knew about safe babywearing practices. Each rental comes with a brochure detailing how to safely wear your baby.
The service works like this: choose a carrier, how long you would like to rent for (1 month – 3 months) and Carry Me does the rest! There is a brief rental agreement to read and sign online and then you will receive your carrier via USPS. If you are not sure what type of carrier you want, just ask and they will help you figure out what carrier is best for your baby and lifestyle. If you like, you can even just tell them what style you would like and they’ll surprise you! How fun is that? They can send you links to videos to show you how to use the carrier and offer suggestions. They are also available for any questions that come up while you are using it.
When your rental period is coming to an end, you’ll receive a postage paid return envelope in the mail to return your carrier. All you have to do is put your carrier in the envelope and leave it for your mail carrier or drop at the post office. The postage is already paid for by Carry Me! Very easy! No need to wash it as they will do that upon return. And I appreciated them telling me not to worry if the carrier comes back looking, well, worn. They expect you to use and enjoy the carrier and they will take care of making sure it is clean and pristine for the next wearer.
When I first came across the Carry Me lending service, I loved the idea! First of all, carriers can be expensive and it’s hard to know what you will like. Part of the reason I started the babywearing series is to acquaint everyone with all of the different types of carriers out there and what they are like. But, of course, the best way to know if you would like a carrier is to get to use it yourself! This service is a fantastic way to try a carrier out you are curious about to see if it is a good fit before you buy. Another great reason to rent is for those carriers that are really ideal for a certain age range. A stretchy wrap is a great example of a carrier that is awesome for those beginning months but tends to not be as great when your baby gets bigger. So, if you don’t want to invest in one, you can rent! I also like the idea of renting carriers based on the season.
In addition to the lending service, Carry Me also sells carriers and offers gift cards. Wouldn’t a gift card to Carry Me be an excellent baby shower gift?
You are going to get a chance to win a 3-month rental from Carry Me! Think of it as an early Christmas present! Entry is via the Rafflecopter form below. US only. Good Luck!
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post but Carry Me Baby Carrier Rental Service did provide me with one 3-month rental for the purpose of this review. I was not required to give a positive review and all opinions are 100% my own. Amazon links are affiliate links.
