I can’t comment on the input side (i.e. food) as I am a lousy cook and spare everyone (myself included) the torture of eating my food.

But on the output side (i.e. excercise and so on), it’s a really simple application of family habits. For instance, in the spring and summer, we’d all 6 of us take our bikes out (which means I have a child-seat, my wife has a tag-along, and our two older boys are on their own bikes) and just go somewhere. For a picnic. To the park to play. Even to a restaurant (to eat in those calories we’re expending). But whichever way, it became a part of our routine that the kids would always look forward to. As would we. It’s really important to try to get some of these habits embedded while they’re young and still (vaguely) influenced by you!
