Beco Gemini

I had heard good things about Beco but really only was familiar with the Beco Butterfly II (which was discontinued in December 2012). Then Carry Me Baby Carrier Rental Service shipped me the Beco Gemini to try out. She said it was one of her most popular rentals.

The Beco Gemini is considered a 4-in-1 carrier meaning you can wear it in 4 different positions: facing in front carry, facing out front carry, hip carry and back carry. (I personally would not use the front facing out position myself, but it does support the baby in the correct seated position if you choose to do so.) You can start wearing the Gemini with your newborn as it is designed to go from 7 lbs to 35 lbs.

Beco GeminiSince I received this carrier to try out when my baby was 2 months old, I used it in the newborn position. It is designed so that you do not need an insert of any kind to wear a newborn. And it is incredibly simple to adjust to fit your newborn. You simply snap the sides inward and then it perfectly accommodates your newborn to have his legs out. This was perfect for my little guy who pretty early on showed a clear preference for having his legs out. It was so comfortable!

Another thing I liked was the headrest. It is a simple snap adjustment just like the adjustment for wearing a newborn. Just pop it up when baby is sleeping or just needs the extra head support. It comes in a variety of pretty patterns as well which is always fun!

I really enjoyed using the Beco Gemini! It’s probably the easiest soft structured carrier to use for a newborn that I’ve tried.

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post but Carry Me Baby Carrier Rental Service did lend me a Beco Gemini for 2 weeks for the purpose of this review. I was not required to give a positive review and all opinions are 100% my own. Amazon links are affiliate links.
