Ergobaby Organic Teething Pads
If you wear your baby, you know they like to suck on the straps of whatever carrier you are wearing or your wrap fabric. In fact, I can pretty much guarantee that this will happen at least once while you are wearing your baby, if not every single time.
Marcella was always soaking my Ergobaby straps. Back then, if teething pads existed, I sure did not know about them. But this time around, I’m lucky enough to have a set of organic Ergobaby teething pads. No more soggy carrier straps for me!
Jude likes to soothe himself to sleep by sucking, like most babies, and will fall asleep with the strap in his mouth sometimes. I do try to gently move his mouth, but, alas, he finds that strap again and just puts it right back. So, it is super nice to have these pads there. I can easily remove them and wash them and not have a gross wet strap. Ick.
I love that these are made of organic cotton. They are so soft and the natural color is really nice I think. (They also come in mocha.) Is it weird that sometimes I reach over and pet them….so soft. They look quite nice with my Ergobaby lattice carrier.
I was really happily surprised to see they snap into place, instead of using velcro. And they are those nice snaps, too that click softly into place, the plastic kind. They are reversible which is a nice feature so if your child has super soaked through one side, you could just flip it over. Throw it in your washer for nice, clean fresh pads again.
Only drawback? The tag is really long and it kind of got in Jude’s face the first time I used them for a longer length of time and he fell asleep. But there is a simple solution for that! Just cut it off. No biggie.
If you babywear, pick yourself up a pair of these teething pads. They will fit on any soft-structured carrier and would fit on some other types of carriers straps as well. I plan on trying them on my mei tai next!
