I know that my readers are eco-conscious individuals looking to make this planet a better place to live and play. Reducing our trash is an important part of being good stewards and making our world cleaner. With school back in session, the opportunity to create a lot of waste presents itself in the way of school lunches. To combat this, Paperless Kitchen has an array of products to reduce the amount of trash like brown bags, plastic baggies and tableware used in the school lunchroom. Green materials like bamboo, organic cloth and stainless steel are found in their green back-to-school collection.
I love reusable snack bags so I was excited to try an Ecoditty Snack Bag from Paperless Kitchen. I have a couple different brands of snack bags and the Ecoditty is quite different from them. For starters, I love the feel of the bag. It is a soft cloth type of bag. It’s made of 100% certified organic cotton so no worries about the chemicals that can come from plastic bags. Even the inks used for the pretty pattern on the bag are non-toxic and have a low environmental impact. The liner is the same organic cotton as the outside, and the bag can easily turned inside out to clean all the nooks and crannies. (You can throw it in the washing machine, wash by hand or put them in the dishwasher to clean them.)
I like the way the bag folds over to prevent any food from escaping; it has a small velcro closure to hold it all together. This is a nice size for snacks and will fit well thrown in your purse or diaper bag for toddler snack time or for a side for your big kid in their lunch bag. Ecoditty also has a super fun customizable bag that your kids can decorate themselves.
