I once again ordered a Sweetness Basket from Milk and Honey Organics. My basket contained:
- 2 bags Local Yellow Beans
- 1 Local Cucumber
- 3 Local Watsonia Peaches
- 4 Early Queen Black Plums
- 4 Fancy Braeburn Apples
- 1 bunch Bananas
- 2 Local Fancy Straightneck Yellow Squash
- 2 Local Fancy Zucchini Squash
- 2 North Carolina Covington Yams
- 1 head Eastern Carolina Red Leaf Lettuce
- 3 Yukon Gold Potatoes
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 6 Roma (Plum) Tomatoes
- 1/2 pint North Carolina Blueberries
Here is how I’m utilizing my produce from Milk and Honey Organics in this week’s meal plan, and, as always, I use the Publix weekly ad to help save money as well.
Dinners
Sa – Grilled Chicken Salad with Red Leaf Lettuce, Cheese, Hard Boiled Eggs and Apples
Su – Cookout with Family (Bringing a Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting)
M – Tomato Basil Quiche with Garlic Yellow Beans
W – Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries
Th – Cheese and Potato Crustless Quiche with Whole Wheat Apple Muffins
Fr – Squash and Zucchini Pizza Bites (using Homemade Pizza Dough) with Red Leaf Salad (with Cucumber and Apples)
Lunches
Sa – Eating Out
Su – Tuna Melts with Pretzel Crisps
M – Baked Zucchini Sticks with Cantaloupe
T – Black Bean Quesadillas
W- Peanut Butter, Banana and Raisin Wraps
Th – Turkey Sandwich with Hummus and Carrots
Fr – Black Bean Quesadillas
Breakfasts
Sa – Eggs, Cantaloupe and Whole Wheat Pumpkin Muffins
Su – Eggs and Cantaloupe
M – Strawberry Puff Pancake
T – Banana Bread
W - Banana Bread
Th – Kashi Cereal with Blueberries (but don’t tell Leslie)
Fr – Kashi Cereal with Blueberries (really, don’t tell her)
Snacks: Carrots and Hummus, Peaches, Plums, Blueberries, Bananas, Peanut Butter Popcorn, String Cheese, Banana Bread
