A Voice in the Wind: Book Review

It has been many years since I have read my favorite book, A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers but since I haven’t read much of anything besides a massive stack of magazines I am trying to get through and give away, I decided to write a review on it.

It is a very powerful book about a Jewish slave girl named Hadassah and the Roman empire. I literally sobbed while reading this book which is very rare for me. There are two other books that follow, An Echo in the Darkness and As Sure as the Dawn but the first is by far my favorite. I couldn’t put this book down and holed myself up in my room to read it the first time. I have since bought the book (I had borrowed it from a friend the first time) and reread it but that was still awhile ago so the book is not fresh in my mind. For that reason, I’m going to link to a review I thought was good and gives you the gist of what the book is about. 🙂 I know, that is totally cheating.

If you need a good summer book to read on the beach, this one would be great. It’s a wonderful, wonderful book that will inspire you to live the Christian life more faithfully.
