Texture Clothing: Clothing with a Conscience

Texture ClothingI’ve been really excited to share this clothing line with you. Texture Clothing is the crunchy girl’s dream clothing company. I first heard of this Pacific Northwest company from Very, Very Fine, and I’ve been smitten ever since. For starters, just look at what they are made of: hemp, organic cotton, soy protein, lyocell and silk. All of these fibers are sustainable and eco-friendly. In fact, their tagline is “Clothing with a Conscience”.

If you’re a mama, Texture clothing makes perfect, versatile pieces for your wardrobe. I love the way they are made for women to wear before, during and after pregnancy. How many outfits do you have that pull triple duty like that?? The elastic waistbands on almost everything they make keep their shape so you can totally wear their stretchy pants and skirts while pregnant and then after the birth, too. And their sizing is generous. The clothes are cut with a women’s curves in mind, imagine that. 🙂

Now that I’ve told you that you can wear these through and after pregnancy, you may be thinking they are frumpy. But that’s what’s so great about Texture Clothing! They are definitely stylish AND practical. Yes, you can be comfortable in something besides yoga pants. 🙂 I love the styling of their gathered tees and tanks as well as the comfy skirts in all different lengths and comfy capris. They also have some fabulous dresses, my favorite being the Delilah.

Texture ClothingI have the half sleeve gathered tee in papricka, and I love it! It is soft, so soft, against my skin. It has just a hint of spandex to give it some stretch and it’s cut with some extra room so if you prefer something isn’t lying flat against your stomach, this would do the trick. I’m thinking this would have been really nice in those postpartum days to hide the post-pregnancy belly.

Texture ClothingProbably my favorite thing about this shirt is the style. It has an asymmetrical neck line that is just cool. And, as someone who is petite, I like that the gathering adds a little to my small frame. It’s longer, too which is great if you are long-waisted or, like me, just prefer that when I bend over, it covers my back. Mamas are always bending over chasing little ones, or at least I am!

The half sleeve is great because I feel like it is an all weather piece. It looks equally at home with a pair of shorts as it does with my jeans, and I could wear this with a skirt and boots with it’s pretty fall color. It’s extremely versatile!

I’m confident that you will also love anything you purchase from Texture Clothing. I’m certainly adding some items to my wish list (my birthday’s coming up!), and I’m eyeing this gorgeous scarf for the fall and winter months. And to help you out, Texture Clothing is offering A Little Bit of All of It reader’s a discount of 20% off until July 19! Just use code “natural20“!
