Welcome to May!

It is unseasonably cool here in my neck of the woods, but I’m still excited about the warm springy days we have had and I’m sure are still to come! Spring is my favorite season!

As far as the blog goes, I finally have a blog badge available in the sidebar. Feel free to grab it! 🙂 Also, the Natural Living Series starts next week. I’m looking forward to discussing ways we can all live more naturally. Whether you currently do most things conventionally or are as crunchy as you can get, I hope this series will be beneficial to you and you join in in the comments for the various topics. Check out the call for submissions if you’d like to submit posts to be included or let me know you’ll be joining along with writing on your own site for the various topics.

I’d love to introduce my sponsors this month and hope you swing by and say “Hi!” to them. I’m sharing some of their social media sites this month.

Heather M. Schiefer’s Etsy shop sells greeting cards, note cards, personalized invitations, creative photography prints, the cute cloth wipes pictured above as well as custom orders. And right now 100% of the proceeds from her shop go to her mother who is fighting lymphoma. She says this about her items: “My focus is to be independent and creative and to design. *wink* Not to design what’s trendy this season or to copy another look, but to create what feels right to me.” Love that! Be sure to check out her cute things. Maybe you’ll even find the perfect little something for your mom for Mother’s Day while blessing another mom!

Heather is also a talented graphic designer. She has been freelancing in graphic design since 2008 and she does it all: logos, branding and identity, web design, print design, and large media. If you need branding help, go see Heather. And check her out on Facebook and Twitter, too!

Empowered Birth Choices is a wonderful local resource for childbirth preparation, doula services and placenta encapsulation. Specifically Sue offers Birthing from Within classes which, I believe, is the first time these type of classes have been avaiable locally. Sue is a passionate advocate in the birthing community, and I’ve no doubt you will love learning from her about birth. Hire Sue to be your doula and to encapsulate your placenta and you’ll come full circle! You can find Empowered Birth Choices on Facebook.

Norwex is a cleaning company that strives to clean without all the chemicals. Locally, Morgan is your go-to to purchase from Norwex and to ask all your questions. She often runs specials and shares her knowledge freely via special Facebook events. Email Morgan to host a party or like her on Facebook to find out how to be part of her Facebook events!

I also wanted to share some of the blogs in my side bar:

Presence Parenting is all about helping you find peace in parenting and can be found at Facebook and on Twitter.

That Mama Gretchen is a blog about thrifting, mom fashion, natural parenting and living and other random fun and can be found on Facebook and Twitter.

The Mahogany Way is a little bit birth, craft, mama love and natural living and can be found on Facebook and Twitter.

I hope you check out these great sponsors and leave them a little love for helping me run this blog. If you are interested in advertising, I’m still offering a one time 75% off for local businesses for a 30 day spot and have (5) 50% off spots with the code “happy1000” which goes to the first 5 individual advertisers. (Contact me at Julia@naturallifemom.com for the code for local businesses.)
