Talc-Free Baby Powder
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was blessed with five baby showers. One of the things I got a lot of (besides handmade blankets) was baby powder. I knew that back when I was a baby, it was common practice to powder a baby’s bottom every diaper change. I also knew this practice was now no longer desirable as the typical baby powder contains talc which is not safe for babies, and it’s use is also not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. You might remember all of the wonderful benefits of Redmond Clay from the post I did during Wellness Week. Well, Redmond Clay also has a baby powder version of their clay. You can even get it in the familiar baby powder type dispenser for easy application. It is talc-free and unrefined. Even if your baby has sensitive skin, you’ve no need to worry about using this baby powder as it’s free of all chemicals and fragrances. It just contains the goodness of pure Redmond Clay!
I’ve been using this on Jude after bath’s especially in the diaper area to dry up any additional moisture before putting on his diaper. It’s also good for rashes so if he’s a little red, I’ll use this, too. It doesn’t get cakey really or anything. It’s nice and soft and absorbs into his skin. Although I haven’t used it for this purpose, it could also be used for adults for areas where chafing might be a problem or sweatiness you’d like to combat.
I’d love for you to try some for yourself! Two of you will win your own Redmond Clay Baby Powder! Entry is via the Rafflecopter entry system below.
