BabyEtte Cotton Gauze Wrap

Baby Ette Cotton Gauze - A Little Bit of All of ItI asked what carriers you wanted to learn more about and you answered! (The survey is still open if you haven’t filled it out.) This was one of those carriers. Read on to learn about what I think of the BabyEtte Cotton Gauze Wrap.

I knew I wanted to try a wrap with my second baby. I had used a ring sling and an Ergo with my first child and loved both but neither were ideally suited (at least for me) to doing chores around the house with a newborn.  With the ring sling, I didn’t have both arms completely free and, at the time, I did not have an insert for the Ergo. I figured a wrap would be the best way to be able to have my hands free to do the things I needed to for my older child while still tending to my baby.

Baby Ette Cotton Gauze - A Little Bit of All of ItI was also trying to find a carrier that was best suited for the Southern heat since I was having my baby in July. A friend pointed me in the direction of BabyEtte. They had wraps made in cotton gauze, a nice lightweight fabric perfect for the summer heat. I choose a light turquoise color thinking it would be best for not absorbing the sun’s warmth.

So, what did I think? I really, really loved this wrap! I loved the color; I loved the thinness of it (especially as a novice wrapper); I loved the ease of wrapping with it and how comfortable it was with my tiny baby. This was absolutely perfect for wearing in the heat, too. We didn’t sweat and got all sticky, suffocatingly hot while out wearing this in August and September, when it is still pretty hot here in my area of the country.

I loved wearing it around the house as well as wearing it out around town. It was, like I mentioned, easy for me to wrap with even though it was the first wrap I’d ever owned. It was soft and as folded up really compactly. Sadly, now that Jude is bigger, it just isn’t as supportive. I can certainly still wear him in it but I prefer something thicker now for more support.

Baby Ette Cotton Gauze - A Little Bit of All of ItSince it wasn’t getting used that much anymore, I sent it on a journey up to Lori since she has a tiny baby of her own and she’ll be able to give it lots of love. I miss our days wrapped up in the BabyEtte wrap, but if I ever have another baby, I would definitely use it again for those early infant days.

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. This wrap was purchased for me as a gift by my mother. I only review products that I either have purchased myself and love or products I have been given a chance to review by the company that I believe are products my readers would benefit from.
